BYD releases its 2025 ESG report, actively fulfilling its sustainable development commitments.

Click:84On March 27, BYD released its 2025 Sustainable Development Report, comprehensively and systematically disclosing the company's strategic plans, practical achievements, and long-term commitments in the fields of Environment, Society, and Governance (ESG). In 2025, BYD launched its DREAMS sustainable development philosophy, comprised of six pillars: Green and Low-Carbon, Innovation and Transformation, Equal Opportunities, Collaborative Cooperation, Integrity and Integrity, and Value Sharing. Simultaneously, BYD's MSCI ESG rating rose to AA, and its S&P ESG Score rose to 60, placing it among the top tier of Chinese companies. It also received domestic and international ESG awards, including the Forbes China 50 List and Best Practices for Sustainable Development among Listed Companies.

Anchored to its core goal of achieving carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2045, BYD's "Three Green Dreams" have a global footprint: In 2025, BYD aims to achieve annual sales of 4.6 million new energy vehicles, retaining its position as the world's top-selling new energy vehicle manufacturer; cumulative energy storage system shipments will exceed 135 GWh, ranking first globally in 2025; and BYD Solar will be successfully listed in Bloomberg New Energy Finance's BNEF Tier 1 global photovoltaic module manufacturer list. In 2025, the carbon emission reduction from new energy vehicle energy production and use compared to traditional fuel vehicles will reach 46.6 million tons, equivalent to planting 776.6 million trees, contributing to a 1°C reduction in global temperature. In 2025, BYD will achieve 7.29 billion kWh of clean electricity use through the purchase of green electricity certificates, ranking first among Chinese automakers and among the top 100 green electricity consumers in China. BYD's three industrial parks have been selected as among the first batch of national-level zero-carbon parks, systematically promoting low-carbon transformation in the manufacturing sector.

In terms of fulfilling its social responsibility, BYD's total domestic tax payment reached 53.3 billion yuan, and its donation expenditure in 2025 totaled 157 million yuan. BYD launched a 3 billion yuan education charity fund, focusing on supporting university scholarships and popularizing new energy vehicle technology, and reached donation agreements with 127 universities nationwide, inspiring over 6,000 students. BYD builds a diverse and inclusive workplace environment, focuses on employee development, strengthens talent retention, and maintains 100% employee insurance coverage. In 2025, BYD received numerous honors, including "Forbes Global Best Employer" and "Forbes Global Best Companies for Women to Work For."



BYD continues to invest heavily in technological research and development, with R&D investment reaching 63.4 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for 7.89% of its operating revenue. It employs 120,000 R&D personnel and has applied for 71,094 patents globally. Based on its development philosophy of "technology as king, innovation as the foundation," BYD has launched leading technologies such as the Super e-platform. In the past three years, over 19 of its models have received NCAP five-star/five-star+ safety ratings both domestically and internationally. BYD uses new technologies, high standards, and robust capabilities to ensure user safety and continuously drive the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
